Events, sessions and the Build tab

Events are where mileage happens. The chain is: create an event → add sessions → fit parts per session (the build) → type laps → tick the session Completed. Only then do the laps become km on every fitted part.

Creating an event

Events → "Add event": pick the Championship (the track list filters to that championship's linked tracks), the Track, the Date and optionally a Session template to create all sessions in one go. The name auto-suggests Championship — Track.

Two things to know:

  • Events belong to the currently-selected season (top-bar context pill).
  • An event needs a championship to appear in the list and calendar — championship-less events are hidden.

The Events page offers a List view (Live now / Upcoming / Completed) and a Calendar view — click a day to create an event on that date.

The event page

Tabs: Overview · Build · Crew · Mileage · Tyres · Schedule. The header edits name/track/date, changes the status (Upcoming / Live / Completed), and deletes the event. Above the tabs, the "Track reference" card stores per-championship sector/lap reference times and fuel per lap — used by live deltas and run plans.

The Build tab

  • "Roster & drivers" — tick which cars race this event and pick each car's default driver. Crew and tyres both key off this roster.
  • "Sessions" — add sessions ("Add session", single or from a template), reorder, set planned laps, and per car:
    • Build — click the build summary to open the editor: fit whole assemblies as units, then pick individual parts. Parts on another car this session are flagged.
    • Laps — type the laps the car ran and press "Save".
    • "Carry over setup" copies the previous session's parts.
  • Tick "Completed" when a session ends. Until then the session shows "km pending — tick Completed" and no part receives km. Completing also freezes that session's build and laps (un-complete to edit).

Incident flags

The ⚠ button per session-car opens "Flag incident": kind (Contact / Off / Spin / Mech / Other), severity Inspect or Replace, a note, and a checklist of the fitted parts. Flagged parts get an open inspection flag that surfaces as an "Inspect" alert on the Dashboard and the car's Alarms tab until someone acknowledges it in the part drawer.

Locks

  • Completed session — build, laps and assembly changes are read-only.
  • Closed season — everything in the event is frozen until the season is reopened (Settings → Events → Seasons).
