FIA tyre registration (FREC form)

ICRX generates the FREC "Slick Tyres Registration Form" in the same layout FREC teams already submit, one driver and car at a time, from the sets you allocated at the event. Always review the export before submitting — form requirements belong to the series and can change.

Before you generate

The form pulls from four places — have them ready:

  1. Drivers with names, initials and race numbers — Settings → Team & people → Drivers.
  2. Team profile (short name, FIA code, country) — Settings → General → Team profile. The short name opens the export's file name.
  3. Tyre allocations for the event — the event's Tyres tab. A car with no allocated sets can't be exported.
  4. Corner barcodes on each allocated set — the FIA won't accept blank corner codes; scan them from the Tyres page first (missing ones are highlighted in the preview).

Generating the form

Event → Tyres tab → FIA card → "Generate":

  • Pick the Driver and Car. The preview lists each allocated set as SET 1, SET 2… with its four corner barcodes and km. A set used in several sessions appears once — the FIA counts distinct sets.
  • Round # is derived automatically: this event's position among the season's events in the same championship, ordered by date (two digits, e.g. "09"). Override it if your series counts differently. An event with no championship falls back to "01" with a warning.
  • Event code — the series' short code for the round, e.g. "RD2_Z" for Zandvoort.
  • Export as "Excel" or "PDF". The file name follows the FIA convention: {team}_{year}_{series}_{round}-{champ}_{eventCode}_{driverInitials}.

Corner numbering on the form is clockwise — 1=FL, 2=FR, 3=RR, 4=RL — and barcodes are wrapped in *…* as the scanners expect.

How km is calculated

The form's km column is a distance: laps × the event track's lap length. Two edge cases are deliberately distinct:

  • Track length unknown → km shows "?" (never a fake 0) and the modal warns you.
  • No laps logged → km shows "?", the same as an unknown track length — the form can't tell the two apart, and no warning is shown today. Fill laps on the event's Tyres tab (or Build tab) before exporting.
