Opening km and corrections

Laps drive mileage in ICRX, but real life starts before ICRX: parts arrive used, odometers disagree, someone forgot a test day. Three tools cover it, all delta-based so re-logging can never double-count.

Per-part adjustments

In the part drawer → mileage tab → "Km adjustments""Log adjustment":

  1. Pick a type: "Opening (how it arrived)" for pre-existing mileage, "Correction" for fixing the record.
  2. Enter "Set lifetime km to" — you type the target total; ICRX shows and stores the delta against the current computed total.
  3. A reason is required (traceability) plus a date.

Adjustments add to lifetime km like initial km does. They are never written into per-event history, so per-event wear stays honest. Each adjustment is listed and deletable; deleting one that was banked inside a later rebuild snapshot warns you it will lower the current-cycle km.

A whole car at once — arrival mileage

When a car arrives with dozens of parts, don't adjust them one by one. On the car's page (Mounted tab) use "Log arrival mileage": declare the parts per category (mounted, from inventory, or new serials), enter one "Arrival odometer (km)", and ICRX fans out an opening adjustment to every arriving part — skipping parts already at that reading.

The arrival sheet can be soft-locked ("Mark as completed") and becomes permanently locked once the car runs an event. Details in Cars and chassis.

Initial km at creation

"Add Part" has an "Initial km" field — use it when registering a part that already has life behind it. It behaves like an opening adjustment made on day one.

All of them appear in the part's "Logbook PDF" as a reconciliation line, so an auditor can always re-derive the total.
