Parts and the Inventory page

Inventory → Parts is the org's register of traceable components, grouped by category with wear visible at a glance.

Around the page​

  • "Add Part" creates a component: category, car (or "spare (no car)"), position if the category uses them, installed date, serial (auto-suggested if left blank), initial km, target use %. If the category has child categories (e.g. Engine → Turbo), a "Sub-components" stepper creates and links the children in the same submit.
  • "Export CSV" downloads the current filtered view (serial, category, car, status, location, km, EOL, ETA).
  • Active / Retired toggle — Retired is the KO graveyard.
  • Filters: car, location, status ("Needs inspection", "Over limit", "Critical", "Warning", "Mid-life", "Fresh"), plus "By wear" / "By serial" sorting.
  • Each row shows the serial, position (editable inline), car or location, a mileage bar and the EOL ETA in events.

The part drawer​

Click any part to open its drawer (also reachable by scanning the part's QR label). Tabs: overview, mileage, measurements (if the category defines them), notes, label.

Key actions on the overview:

  • "Send to service" — the part stops accruing km until you mark it rebuilt. If it has "swap together" siblings, ICRX offers to cascade.
  • "Mark rebuilt" — closes the service visit and resets the wear cycle (full guide).
  • "Move to spare" — returns a mounted part to the pool, keeping mileage and history. Only offered while the part has never been fitted in a session and isn't in an assembly.
  • "KO" — retires the part to the graveyard (history preserved forever). "Restore from KO" brings it back as a spare.
  • "Swap together" — link parts that physically come off together (upright + hub). Cascades service/KO/rebuild, but each part keeps its own km.
  • "Logbook PDF" — the part's full passport: identity, seal, life limits, per-event km, rebuilds and ledgers.

The overview also holds the life-limits panel (Life limits), the EOL forecast with its confidence %, seal custody (seal number + sealed by — what scrutineers check on spec engines/gearboxes), and the physical location.

Physical locations​

A mounted part's location "tracks the car". A spare's location is a dropdown (Pit-lane container 2, Workshop shelf B…) plus a free-text detail, auto-saved. The location catalogue is managed in Settings → Inventory → "Part locations" (org admins).

QR labels​

The drawer's label tab prints a QR sticker ("PNG", "SVG" for laser engraving, "Print label"). Scanning it with a phone camera opens the part directly in the app. See Barcodes and QR labels.
