Tyre sets — warehouse and event allocations

Tyres live in two places: the warehouse (Inventory → Tyres) — every set your org owns — and each event's Tyres tab — which set runs on which car in which session.

The warehouse (Inventory → Tyres)​

A set is 4 tyres bought/shipped together; corners (FL/FR/RL/RR) are tracked automatically. Actions:

  • "Add tyre set" — set id (auto-suggested T-NNN), set number, compound, condition (New / Scrubbed / Used / Retired), brand, and optional per-corner barcodes (scan or type). Compounds are your org's own taxonomy (Settings → Tyres).
  • "Import" — load a historical TyresDB Excel export (full guide).
  • "Scan tyre" — point the camera at a sidewall barcode to find which set it belongs to.
  • Per set: "Edit barcodes", "KO" (retire to the graveyard, history kept, restorable), "Delete" (permanent — use KO to archive).

The table tracks Laps and Cycles — heat cycles are counted as allocations where the set ran at least one lap (guideline: 12+ high, 20+ critical).

Allocating sets at an event​

Open your event → Tyres tab:

  1. The Allocations grid has one row per session and one column per car. In each cell, "— Pick a set —" assigns a set; retired sets are hidden.
  2. A laps input appears next to a picked set — type the laps that set ran, or press "Fill laps from sessions" to copy the lap counts recorded on the Build tab (hand-typed cells are never overwritten).
  3. Picking a set already allocated to a different car in the same event asks for confirmation — a physical set can only be on one car at a time.

A set used across five sessions counts as one allocation slot — regulation counting is by distinct sets, not fitments.

Allocation limits​

In the same tab, set "Slick sets / car" and "Wet sets / car" for this event, or leave them empty to inherit the championship's defaults (Settings → Events → Championships). Wets and intermediates count together. Over-allocating shows a red warning per car ("CAR 4: 6 slick sets allocated — limit 5") but is never blocked — your team may hold a waiver.

Declaration PDF​

"Declaration PDF" produces one document for the whole event: per car, the driver, slick/wet counts, and every allocated set with its four corner barcodes and the sessions it covered. For the FIA/FREC-specific per-driver form, see FIA tyre registration.
