The Workbook
The Workbook (sidebar → Engineering) replaces the per-event engineering Excel: one workbook per event, every tab live and multi-user. It's a plan module — if your plan doesn't include it yet, the page says so.
Open it, pick an event, and the context bar keeps a Session and Car selection that every tab follows. Tabs are grouped Prepare / Operate / Analyze, and each user can toggle modules on/off in Customize.
Prepare
- Setup — schema-driven setup sheets per car: create a baseline, then per-session or rolling setups (optionally cloned). Fields save on blur; anything differing from the baseline is highlighted with its base value; a compare panel diffs setups side by side. The schema itself (groups, fields, units) is editable in Customize.
- References — per-car constants: target pressures, ride heights, fuel, target lap.
- Build — parts on the car per session, the same panel as the event page, in reach of the pit wall.
- Strategy — the master run plan. Per session and car, add runs: type (Warm-up, Long run, Qualifying sim…), driver, planned laps, a tappable lap-code sequence (O/W/P/C/I — your org's lap types), tyre set, fuel; estimated totals come from the track reference times.
- Calc — formula calculators from your own templates.
Operate
- Now — pit-wall cards per car: mounted tyre set, on-track status, open snags.
- Sessions — the live sheet: lap-by-lap times and sectors (with deltas vs reference), fuel, flags, plus per-corner tyre pressures/temperatures and a bleed calculator.
- Mileage — the event's component wear roll-up, the same panel as the event page.
- Run plan — the read-only, printable mechanic view of Strategy.
- Weights — scale readings per session (driver/car, pre/post), legal-weight margin and a ballast simulator; project-level minimum weight and ballast positions.
- The context bar's "Mileage source" toggle picks where laps come from: Manual (typed in Build — the default) or Feed (derived from imported timing). Feed never overwrites hand-typed mileage silently.
Analyze
- Summary — the event cover sheet: laps, best, status per session × car.
- Debriefs — per session and driver: free text, tags, and structured feedback ("What worked" / "What didn't" / "Setup requests" / "Engineer notes").
- Snags — the event issue tracker: severity, car, session, assignee, statuses Open → In progress → Resolved/Wontfix. "Escalate to job" creates a Mechanics job from a snag.
- Report — the engineer's report: markdown editor, an "Insert summary at top" auto-summary (KPIs, results, snag log), and an A4 "Export PDF".
Keyboard: ? shows shortcuts; l Sessions, s Snags, b Build, 1–9 jump tabs.
