Barcodes and QR labels
Scanning tyre barcodes
ICRX reads the common 1D tyre barcodes (Code 128, Code 39, EAN, UPC…) with your device camera — the formats used on Pirelli / Hankook / Yokohama labels. Camera scanning needs HTTPS (which app.icrxms.com always is) and your browser's camera permission.
Three places use the scanner:
- Tyres page → "Scan tyre" — point at any tyre's barcode and ICRX finds and highlights the set it belongs to. Unknown barcode? It offers to register it as a new set.
- Adding a tyre set — each corner (FL/FR/RL/RR) has a camera button: "Hold the tyre barcode in the framed area. Most labels read in under a second."
- Editing a set's barcodes — "Scan each corner with the camera or type / paste the barcode directly." Duplicate corners are caught before saving.
:::info If the camera won't start "Camera permission denied" means the browser blocked it — allow camera access in your browser settings and hit "Try again". :::
QR labels on parts
Every part's detail panel has a "Label" tab with a printable QR sticker. The QR encodes a deep link — scanning it with any phone camera opens that exact part in ICRX, switching project automatically if needed.
Buttons on the Label tab:
- "Print label" — opens a print window pre-sized for a 60 × 80 mm label with the QR, serial, category/position and URL.
- "PNG" — raster download, fine for stickers.
- "SVG" — vector download, made for laser engravers and cutting machines (LightBurn and friends). Vector paths engrave cleanly at any scale where a PNG turns to mush. This shipped from a field request by an LMP2 race engineer.
- "Copy URL" — the same deep link as text.
Seal custody
For sealed spec parts (F2/F3/TCR engines and gearboxes), the part panel has a "Seal custody" section: record the seal number and who sealed it — what a scrutineer reads on the part must match your records. Fields auto-save as you type; a "sealed" badge appears once a seal number exists.
