The connection banner

Circuit and paddock connectivity is bad — silently stale screens are the #1 real-world failure teams report in trackside tools. ICRX never hides connection state from you: when something is wrong you get a banner, loudly, and when it's fixed you get told too.

🔴 "You're offline."

"Changes can't be saved until the connection returns — nothing is queued in the background."

Your device has no network at all. Stop editing — saves will fail immediately, and ICRX deliberately does not queue changes in the background (a queued save applied hours later, out of order, is worse than an honest failure). Reconnect and carry on.

🟡 "Live sync lost — reconnecting…"

"Data on screen may be out of date (since 14:32)"

Your browser still has network, but the live sync channel to ICRX dropped — teammates' changes are no longer streaming to your screen. The timestamp tells you since when. Treat what you see as possibly out of date and avoid acting on values a teammate may have just changed. Reconnection is automatic — no action needed.

To avoid flashing during brief blips (laptop sleep/wake, hotel Wi-Fi hiccups), the amber banner only appears after the connection has been down for 8 seconds.

🟢 "Back online."

"Data refreshed — you're fully in sync."

The connection recovered. Crucially, ICRX doesn't just reconnect — it automatically re-fetches your team's data at this moment, because anything that changed during the outage would otherwise be missing from your screen. The green confirmation shows for 4 seconds; when it disappears you're guaranteed current.

Installing ICRX as an app

ICRX is installable: use your browser's "Install app" / "Add to Home Screen" option and ICRX opens in its own window, with its own icon — no browser chrome. Great on phones in the garage.
