Field feedback round: faster part browsing, install as app, laser-ready QR, connection awareness
Four improvements shipped straight from field feedback — you asked, we built it.
-
Parts — Browse part to part. Opening a part no longer blurs and locks the rest of the screen: the inventory stays readable behind a subtle dim, and you can click straight from one part to the next without closing the panel — inspector-style, the way engineers actually review a car. Requested during a field demo.
-
Mobile — Install ICRX as an app. Add ICRX to your phone or desktop home screen and it opens in its own window, with its own icon and name — no browser chrome. See installing ICRX as an app.
-
Parts — QR labels, now laser-ready. Every part's QR code can be downloaded as SVG (vector) alongside PNG — drop it straight into your laser engraver's software to mark parts permanently, not just print stickers. Requested by an LMP2 race engineer during a field demo. See barcodes and QR labels.
-
Everywhere — Connection awareness. The app now tells you, loudly, the moment something is wrong with your connection: a red banner when you're offline, an amber banner when live sync drops (with the time it went stale), and a green confirmation once you're back — at which point ICRX automatically re-fetches your team's data so nobody works for hours on a stale screen without knowing. Built after field feedback: silent stale screens are the #1 real-world failure teams report in the incumbent tools. Full details: the connection banner explained.
